Writing…My Life…My Love…

When I first started writing, I saw it as an outlet and a cathartic one at that. It was a way for me to let out all of the emotions that I had been harboring away. I didn’t write to impress anyone or to make money…I wrote simply because I had things to say and because I could. At first, I wrote little sayings as reminders to myself to be positive and then I started to write my reflections, my thoughts on motherhood, and so on. As I wrote, I started to realize I had a lot to say and started thinking that just maybe somebody out there could relate to what I was writing so I decided to start this blog.

I began to notice something as I progressed with my blogging: People from all over the world were clicking on my blog. I kept writing and as I did you guys came and started following and liking posts. For someone who had started doing this simply for myself, it really made me feel wonderful to know that someone in Romania or Australia, or even the Philippines, could be reading my blog. Sometimes I would get comments and someone would tell me how much they had, “needed to hear what I’d written that day,” or “how they could relate to this or that”. It was in those moments that I truly felt alive. It wasn’t about being “popular”… helping someone and knowing that people believed in my ability was a far better reward.

The fact that my words could perhaps bring comfort or help someone as they went about their journey was such an amazing and humbling feeling. It provided a feeling unlike any other and it was in that moment that I realized that this, writing, was what I wanted to do with my life. I had no idea how I would make this happen, but it didn’t matter. All I kept telling myself was that I had to keep going, keep writing, and hold on to the faith that through my perseverance and hard work I would be able to make a living out of it.

Sometimes we may feel that since we lack the how we cannot make things happen, but sometimes the how is not as important as the belief and willingness not only to think positive but also to act positively towards your goals. I kept thinking it will happen and I kept writing with the knowledge that I would be doing this as a career.

And so it was that a person who has become a great friend and has been a great supporter from the very beginning, came to tell me of an opportunity to blog for their site. I’m really happy to announce that I will be writing with the Miami Hypnosis Center to bring their blog to life. I am truly blessed to be working with such amazing people who do so much on a daily basis to help people. I hope that you will all go check it out and follow along as we work to bring you posts that will help inspire, empower and transform your lives.

I will also be working on a another blog for another wonderful group soon and will let you all know about it as soon as it is up and running. Some may not think that it’s much, but to me its such a bright and blessed beginning into a life of doing what I love. I feel honored that people are so confident in my ability to convey positive and empowering messages, that they would allow me to do so for their businesses.

I will continue to write on this, my personal blog, as well and want to thank each and everyone of you for taking the time to not only read my posts, but for being part of the ongoing inspiration that keeps my dreams of writing for a living going. You all have helped to make me feel as if there are no limits to the things I can accomplish. thank-you

Very well thought out. I’m a writer/poet/rapper/visionary/ chef/father & all these aspects of my life allowed me to realize that my words control the minds of others while my actions gave me reason to have these creative writings from my experiences. Your words really put into light the depth of your meaning and i appreciate it, anxious to read more from you and where and when we can build.

Thank you so much. It really means a lot to me as I said on my post, but even more so knowing that you found me on Instagram and took the time to come check out my writing here. I am always open to collaborations and would love to read you’re writing as well. It is apparent that you are a man that dons many hats and that makes for, as you yourself have asserted, great experiences from which to draw on for your writing. ^_^
